Mariavaleria Grandi

I am a director, art director, and TV and radio writer.
My professional journey began in 1986 at the broadcaster Mediaset, where I served as a
director for prominent international sporting events.
Immensely significant was my experience as a freelancer in Australia, working on the
direction of the Olympic team with David Atkins at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
For Discovery I curated the direction and art direction of the television studio of the 2018
Winter Olympics held in PyeongChang, which was a nonstop broadcast.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked on various information programs, news, talk shows,
interviews and musical programs.
At RAI, I was writer and director at RaiTre and for Radio2 I curated social and cultural
programs from 2001 to 2010. Additionally, for both RAI and the EBU (European Broadcast
Union), I handled the direction of several theatrical productions.
In 2023, I concluded the tenth edition of Drive Up (an automotive format produced by
Mediaset).
